EllisDon Atlantic Region Wins Best Safety Performance

The EllisDon Atlantic Region has won the 2021 President’s Safety Award for best overall safety performance within EllisDon.

The ‘President’s Award’ is presented annually by Geoff Smith, President and CEO of EllisDon, to the Regional office with the best overall safety performance within EllisDon. Competing with all regions EllisDon operates in around the globe, EllisDon Atlantic had a tremendous year going above and beyond the company’s health and safety practices and initiatives.

In 2021, EllisDon Atlantic achieved no recordable incidents among its EllisDon employees. The region also had exceptionally high compliance with the Department of Labour and Advanced Education from numerous site inspections throughout 2021. It implemented new Health & Safety initiatives focusing on improving HSE awareness and education.

EllisDon’s Atlantic team has worked in Halifax and surrounding communities since 1957, delivering over 200 projects in all market sectors throughout the Maritimes and Newfoundland. A rapidly growing team, EllisDon Atlantic employees have set this new goal for all regions of EllisDon to meet, taking EllisDon’s safety culture to new heights.
